Latest company news about The types of steel plate materials

The materials of steel plates can be categorized into the following types:

1. Common Carbon Steel: This is the most prevalent type of steel plate, widely used in general construction and industrial structures. It features low carbon content, excellent weldability, and good machinability.

2. Stainless Steel: This type of steel plate contains a relatively high chromium content, providing exceptional corrosion resistance. It is ideal for environments requiring corrosion resistance, such as chemical engineering, food processing, and marine applications.

3. High-Speed Steel: A high-carbon, high-alloy tool steel characterized by extremely high hardness and wear resistance. It is suitable for manufacturing high-speed cutting tools.

4. High-Manganese Steel: This steel plate contains a relatively high manganese content, offering excellent wear resistance and toughness. It is appropriate for applications subject to high wear and impact.

5. Alloy Steel: By incorporating one or more alloying elements (such as manganese, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, etc.) into carbon steel, its properties are enhanced, including strength, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, or special physical properties. For example, 15CrMo and 12Cr1MoV are utilized in high-temperature and high-pressure environments, such as boilers and power plants.

6. Weathering Steel: This steel plate has a specialized alloy composition that resists corrosion in natural environments, such as Corten steel. It is extensively used in outdoor structures.

7. Special Steel: This category includes various types of steel with unique properties, such as wear-resistant steel (e.g., NM360, NM400), which is employed in scenarios demanding high wear resistance. Low-alloy high-strength steel is used for constructing bridges, pressure vessels, etc.

8. Shipbuilding Steel Plates: Specifically designed for shipbuilding, these steel plates must possess excellent weldability, corrosion resistance, and high strength. Examples include AH32, DH32, EH32, etc.

9. Steel for Boilers and Pressure Vessels: This type of steel plate is engineered to withstand high temperatures and pressures, such as 1Cr0.5Mo, 2.25Cr1Mo, etc.

10. Low-Temperature Tough Steel: This steel maintains good toughness in low-temperature environments, such as 0.5NiA, 0.5NiB, etc., and is used in engineering structures under extremely cold conditions.

Each type of steel plate material has specific application fields and performance characteristics. Selection should be based on specific requirements and environmental conditions.
