Welding Method of Stainless Steel Pipe

February 26, 2025

Latest company news about Welding Method of Stainless Steel Pipe
  1. Argon arc welding (TIG): Suitable for occasions requiring high welding quality, such as chemical, nuclear and food industries. Welding is carried out under argon protection, with good weld formation, no slag shell and smooth surface.
  2. High frequency welding: Suitable for the production of stainless steel pipes for general purposes, with fast welding speed, but may produce internal burrs, and is not suitable for occasions with extremely high requirements for weld quality.
  3. Combination welding: Combining different welding methods, such as argon arc welding plus plasma welding, to improve welding speed and weld quality.
  4. Manual welding (MMA): Simple and easy to use, suitable for a variety of materials, but may require more manual skills.
  5. Gas welding: Suitable for thin plate structures and thin-walled pipes, flexible operation, but not suitable for occasions with high corrosion resistance requirements.
  6. Submerged arc welding: Suitable for stainless steel plates of medium thickness or above, with high productivity and good weld quality, but attention should be paid to the segregation of alloy elements and impurities.
  7. MIG/MAG welding: Suitable for a variety of materials, strong versatility, but moisture-proof is required for outdoor welding.

When welding stainless steel pipes, attention should be paid to controlling the welding current, using appropriate welding processes (such as DC reverse connection), avoiding weld overheating and intergranular corrosion, and controlling weld thickness and interlayer temperature. For specific applications, post-weld cooling rate and deformation control may also need to be considered.
